Lynn Petzold, MAOL

Lynn grew up in rural Pennsylvania, where summer family camping trips sparked her lifelong love for the outdoors. At 18, she embraced a transformative experience as a Rotary Exchange student in Bolivia, igniting her passion for cultural exploration. This adventure led her to study and live abroad for several years in both Spain and New Zealand, further expanding her global perspective.

With over 35 years of experience as an outdoor educator, Lynn has had the privilege of guiding others through experiences that emphasize professional development, community building, and personal growth. Her work allows her to combine her love for nature with her deep commitment to fostering connection and empowerment in diverse groups.

Lynn is a Senior Field Faculty member at the National Outdoor Leadership School (NOLS) and a certified Wilderness Medicine instructor. Currently, an Account Manager for NOLS’ Custom Education division, she specializes in designing, organizing and instructing tailored expeditions for professionals, bringing her expertise to help organizations strengthen leadership and team dynamics. Lynn enjoys connecting with diverse individuals and teams, crafting experiences that challenge them to grow both personally and professionally.

Lynn holds a Masters of Art in Leadership and Organizational Development, a field of study that deepened her understanding of human development and enriched her ability to support others in their own leadership journeys. She is passionate about creating spaces where individuals can connect with each other and the natural world to unlock their full potential.
